What inspired you to start your business? And what is your business about?

Hello, my name is Olga. I’ve been living in Los Angeles with my family for almost seven years.

My business story started quite recently. Two years ago, I was thinking about how to celebrate my birthday and realized I wanted to spend it surrounded by beauty, coziness, and aesthetics — out in nature, sharing those warm moments with my friends. A picnic felt like the most natural and appealing format.

I decided to create that beauty with my own hands. I’ve always loved making the space around me look beautiful. I do embroidery, I cook food that’s not only tasty but also pretty, I decorate our home, and plan all of our family celebrations.

That’s how the idea for my business was born: to create thoughtful, cozy picnics where people can slow down, be together, and simply enjoy the moment.

“For me, it’s not just about setting a table — it’s about creating a space for real connection.”

I give my clients the chance to slow down and spend time with the people they love, without the planning stress or logistics on their shoulders. I feel truly happy when I see genuine joy and relaxation on their faces — that’s what inspires me the most. Creating beauty with my own hands is one of my core values, and in this business it comes to life in every single picnic.

Along this journey, I’m supported by my family: my loving husband and our two beautiful daughters. Recently, our little puppy Brownie, a Cavalier King Charles Spaniel, joined the crew too.

Being a mom of two has given me invaluable skills that directly support my work: staying organized, managing my time, thinking ahead, and responding calmly to changes or client requests. I care deeply about creating a cozy, safe, and well thought-out space where everyone feels comfortable — both kids and adults.

A warm atmosphere where it simply feels good to be together is what I strive for in my work, because it’s exactly the kind of atmosphere I’ve been nurturing in my own family for many years.

Has becoming a parent changed the way you run your business?

Children are a source of joy, love, and inspiration. With them, we rediscover the world and learn to see it in a completely new way. I’m grateful to show my daughters how important it is to express their talents, pursue their desires, bring value to others, and make the world around them more beautiful.

No matter how challenging motherhood can be at times, it’s important not to dissolve in it completely, but to stay connected to yourself, keep listening to your own needs, and continue to grow.

Where do you love spending weekends with your kids in LA?

Our weekend family outings in LA are never the same. We love nature: we can spend hours at the beach playing ball and beach tennis, collecting seashells, building sandcastles, and flying a kite.

On other days, we head to the mountain forests, breathe in the cool air, walk along the trails among tall trees, and soak in all the beauty around us. In LA there are endlessly many places to go with kids: beaches, botanical gardens, parks, museums, theaters, cinemas, city events, and play centers. And even though it seems like there is already so much, the city still has room to grow in making family leisure even richer, high-quality, and cozy.

Family-Friendly Places to Visit in Los Angeles

One of the restaurants we love going to with the kids is The Proud Bird . Low-flying planes at sunset, a playground, a spacious lawn, fire pits to warm up by after the sun goes down, and a varied menu — it’s one of the truly family-friendly restaurants in LA.

Favorite Places to Spend Time Outdoors in LA

We love going with the kids and our dog to the lawn by the ocean at Miramar Park in Torrance, grabbing frozen yogurt nearby, and simply enjoying the ocean view and the setting sun. The incredible view, laid-back atmosphere, and sense of connection with nature are something everyone needs from time to time.

This is one of our family traditions — and we have many like this.

What do you dream about?

I dream of a world where people strive more to create than to destroy. Where creativity, care for one another, and simple human love are truly valued. I make my own small contribution through what I do best: creating beautiful, warm spaces and helping people fill their lives with kind, lasting memories.

What would you like to wish our community?

I wish LA Unfolded Kids growth and development, the power to bring together kind and creative people, fresh ideas, and new opportunities. You are creating a great, much-needed product that truly matters for families with children.
