Hi, I am Lucy
I’m originally from Ukraine and have been living in Los Angeles since 2018.
I used to work in Big Tech, have experience running my small bakery business in Los Angeles, and I'm still growing - while raising a 4.5-year-old son who’s already obsessed with sushi and could eat it day and night 😁 I’m a creative soul — I wrote rap music from age 16 to 21 to express myself, played in school theater, and always found joy in telling stories. I absolutely love cooking — the smells, textures, taste, and the full experience of a good meal. And I go a little crazy over beautiful, soulful places to eat.
LA Unfolded is my way of discovering the city through its soul — through people, flavors, and places that matter not because they’re famous, but because they make you feel something. And it’s also a way to build a community of people who love LA as much as I do. Let’s explore together.
Hi, I’m Ana!
In LA Unfolded, we call ourselves "Temporary Locals". I moved to Los Angeles from Bay Area in 2022, and slowly learning to love this place since.
On weekdays, I’m a project manager. On my free time I sew, customize clothes, take pictures and videos. I see beauty everywhere - in people, in light beams at golden hour, in cozy old shops filled with stories. I try to carry my camera everywhere to catch the soul of LA through little snapshots.
But what I love most here is the community. In my neighborhood, we host monthly happy hours with our neighbors - everyone brings something to eat, and we just hang out, talk, and share life stories. It’s warm, simple, and real. That feeling - of togetherness, of community - is something I want to pass on through LA Unfolded.
